Mount Damavand, is highest peak in Iran. This peak is located in the Alborz Mountains, in Mazandaran province of Iran. Its height is 5670 meters.

The mountain is located in the central part of the Alborz Mountains in the south of the Caspian sea, and in Larijan city of Amol. Mount Damavand is the symbol of greatness and glory for the Iranians, and has a strong effect in literature and history.

I went to Lar region early in the morning of a spring day. I recorded many images of the Lar region and Mount Damavand. Lar plain covered a variety of wild flowers and poppies in spring. In some parts of Lar plain, Mount Damavand is fully accessible for shooting. Of course often clouds covered the Mount Damavand. But I was lucky on this day.

For this photo, I used my Hasselblad 500 C/M camera and Carl Zeiss Distagon 50/4 CFi FLE lens. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/4 seconds on Fuji Velvia 50 roll film.
