Kurdistan province, located in the west of Iran. The province is located on the slopes and plains of central Zagros mountain range. Center of this province is the city of Sanandaj. This mountainous region, has a cold winter, but in spring is the lush.
This is a picture of a village on the side of the road from Sanandaj to Marivan. Due to the mountainous nature of Kurdistan Province, the villages in this region are often located on the slopes of mountains and hills. Agriculture and animal husbandry are important occupations in these villages.
This picture was taken around 2005. That year I built the first 6x12 panoramic camera with a Schneider Symmar-S 100/5.6 fixed lens. That camera was very light and portable. That camera did not have a helical focus mount. But its lens was fixed at the hyperfocal distance. Its design was very simple and could not be compared with the new Panoral 612 camera.
For this image, I used the handmade 6x12 camera. I put kenko polarizer filter on my camera. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/8 seconds on Konica Centuria 100 120 color negative.
