Zanjan is the capital of Zanjan Province in northwestern Iran. It is 298 km north-west of Tehran on the main highway to Tabriz and Turkey and approximately 125 km from the Caspian Sea. Zanjan is known for its beautiful handcrafts such as knives, traditional sandals, called charoogh, and malileh, a handcraft made with silver wires. Due to mountainous area, and the effects of wet weather flows north-west and west, highland climate, with cold snowy winter, is characteristic of this province. But, the pleasant spring and summer are the best time to spend leisure time in the region.

This photo was taken in late spring. But due to the weather conditions in Zanjan, spring is still fresh in it. Beautiful sky with green areas is a feature of this area. The vegetation cover varies in different parts of the province, but in general, the area is composed of forests, pastures and beautiful landscape.

For this photo, I used my Hasselblad 500 C/M camera and Carl Zeiss Distagon 50/f4 CFi FLE lens. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/15 seconds on Fuji Velvia 50 film.
