Spring in the gardens of Karaj

Karaj is the capital of Alborz Province, Iran. It is situated 20 kilometres west of Tehran, at the foothills of the Alborz mountains. The city has effectively become an extension of metropolitan Tehran. The city is surrounded by mountains which give it great landscapes.

There are many orchards in Karaj province. Some fruit trees are located in small private gardens. However, access to them is impossible. But you can get permission to take photos from their owners. This picture was taken from one of my friends' gardens.

For this image, I used my Hasselblad 500 C/M camera and Carl Zeiss Distagon 50/f4 CFi FLE lens. The image recorded with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/8 seconds on Fuji Velvia 50 120 roll film.
