Damavand on a beautiful morning
Picture ID: 30577 - Order
Mount Damavand, is highest peak in Iran. This peak is located in the Alborz Mountains, in Mazandaran province of Iran. Its height is 5670 meters.
This image was taken from the Polour area. On a cold winter morning, the sunlight beautifully illuminated Damavand Peak. In general, Damavand peak is covered with clouds. But fortunately on this day I was lucky. I used a tripod to reduce camera shake. Because I wanted to use a telephoto lens.
For this photo, I used my Hasselblad 500 C/M camera and Carl Zeiss Sonnar 180/f4 CF lens. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/4 seconds on Fuji Velvia 50 roll film.
