Mount Damavand, is highest peak in Iran. This peak is located in the Alborz Mountains, in Mazandaran province of Iran. Its height is 5670 meters.

Rineh is one of the best places to see the mount Damavand. Usually, you should a little walking to reach the spectacular scenery. Mount Damavand has a gentle slopes in the Rineh region. Therefore, it is easy to walk in this region.

To get the best picture of Damavand, sometimes you may need to refer to the region several times. Because it, this area has a haze most often, the afternoon is the best time to take photos. Usually, the peak is covered with cloud. So, the beauty of the cloud depends on your chance.

For this photo, I used my Panoral 45 camera and Schneider Super Angulon 47/5.6 XL lens. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/8 seconds on Fuji Velvia 50 roll film. Because it, the image was recorded 6x6 format, I did not use the center filter IIIC.
