Mazandaran Province is one of the most densely populated provinces in Iran and has diverse natural resources, notably large reservoirs of oil and natural gas. The diverse nature of the province features plains, prairies, forests and rainforest stretching from the sandy beaches of the Caspian Sea to the rugged and snowcapped Alborz sierra, including Mount Damavand, one of the highest peaks and volcanos in Asia.

I had a two-day trip with a group of friends to Mazandaran. The province has beautiful forest landscapes, tall mountains and of course, the beautiful Caspian Sea. I recorded a lot of pictures in this province. But this image is from the black and white collection in the forest. I focused on clear areas, to highlight them from deep shadows. The image contrast was very important to me. Although the image recorded on the paper negative creates the necessary contrast. Therefore, I will not need more contrast.

I used the Panoral 57 camera and Schneider Super Angulon 90/5.6 lens. The image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 8 seconds on 5x7in Forte No.2 paper negative. The image has been inverted in Photoshop.
