The plain of anemone flowers at the Damavand peak
Picture ID: 20556 - Order
Mount Damavand, is highest peak in Iran. This peak is located in the Alborz Mountains, in Mazandaran province of Iran. Its height is 5670 meters.
Because of the cold climate of this region, at the end of June, anemone flowers grow on the slopes of Damavand peak. Almost in other areas that have lower altitude, all these flowers have dried up. The anemone flowers of this region are completely different from other flowers. They have long stems up to about a meter. Also, the size of the flower is sometimes bigger than a human palm. This picture was taken on a sunny afternoon. To shoot it, I walked for about an hour on the mountainside.
For this image, I used Panoral 617 camera and Schneider Super Angulon 90/5.6 lens. I hold Schneider IIIC center filter by hand on lens. The image recorded with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/8 seconds on Fuji Velvia 50 120 roll film.
