Picture ID: 10537 - Order
Zanjan is the capital of Zanjan Province in northwestern Iran. It is 298 km north-west of Tehran on the main highway to Tabriz and Turkey and approximately 125 km from the Caspian Sea. Zanjan is known for its beautiful handcrafts such as knives, traditional sandals, called charoogh, and malileh, a handcraft made with silver wires.
The region of Zanjan is pretty good for black and white photography. I visited this area several times. And every time I was met with lovely views. Due to excessive accumulation of rocks and cliffs, as well as the rapidly changing weather, beautiful scenery is created. I'm using most often of red filter for blackand white photography. Red filter, cause darkening of the blue sky and clouds appearing more. For this reason, it creates a beautiful effect and dreamy image.
This image is part of a series of images from in Zanjan. For this photo, I used Nikkor-W 150/5.6 on Panoral 45 camera and got attached a red filter on the lens, then shoot by 1/8sec at f22 on Ilford FP4 PLUS 4x5in film.
