Karaj is the capital of Alborz Province, Iran. It is situated 20 kilometres west of Tehran, at the foothills of the Alborz mountains. The city has effectively become an extension of metropolitan Tehran. The city is surrounded by mountains which give it great landscapes.

Alborz mountain range as a high wall separated Karaj from Mazandaran province. Chalus road that connect the Karaj city to Chalus, is one of the most spectacular mountain roads. One of the most spectacular areas of Karaj, Karaj river. Karaj dam lake is located on this river. Karaj river originates from high mountains of Alborz mountain range, and in the end went to Salt lake in the Qom city. Amir Kabir Dam (Karaj Dam), on a global scale is one of the largest dams, and is also the first multi-purpose dam in Iran.

The above image is the result of a day trip to the garden of my friend on a spring day. The weather was quite cool and pleasant, and the garden full of trees blossom. For this photo, I used my Hasselblad camera. Since I used a wide angle lens, so I went very close to the tree, so I could find a suitable composition. Since, I can register the top branches of the tree in the image, I was compelled to take up, the camera head (lens). Thus a small amount of convergence was created in the image. You can see this issue at the fence in the background. This mode was exacerbated by the use of wide-angle lens. I used 50mm Carl Zeiss CFi FLE lens on Hasselblad 500 C/M camera by 1/15sec at f22 on Fuji Velvia 50 slide 120 roll film.
